Less than two months after Operation Arrowhead successfully routed the Takistani military regime, NATO coalition forces face a large-scale outbreak of guerilla insurgency. A mechanized force of British troops are about to deploy and embark upon a large-scale counter-insurgency campaign, which will define the future of the coalition presence in Takistan: Operation “Crimson Lance”.

The development of the brand new content has demanded engine updates, resulting in unique features and new gameplay options. The fully modelled artillery and mortar strikes and the extension of the engineer class to include new duties – such as vehicle repair and bomb disposal – add a new depth of realism to the most authentic mil-sim available.

This brand new faction, with a large number of units, vehicles and models, will redouble the allied efforts in this volatile Central-Asian nation – available as a download at the end of August as ‘Arma 2: British Armed Forces’.

At the CUB (Commanders update Briefing) the C.O. suggested that we as a unit arrange a Shooting competition based on the Bisley shoots open to all Arrowhead units in the coming months.

To this end we will be running trials within VBAU to find a shooting team and will be working with our Engineers to build the needed ranges.

so far we are thinking of: APWT, Whitehead, Roberts, FIBUA, MMTT, Para Reg Cup, 25 meter range, 9mm, Sniper 10 rnd watch and shoot, SF, Gallery and if the RSM can get his socks off to count with we will be introducing Map Predicted fire (to be confirmed)

This is all of course dependant on what is actually possible in Arrowhead but that is the plan as it stands.

The R.S.M. has been working with the training wing to come up with a new training plan for Arrowhead to take into account the new terrain, enterable buildings and the urban combat environment so FIBUA and OBUA training will be on the cards, lots of CQB and ambush training.

He has been sharpening his Pace Stick ready for the first Rct to not pay full attention so be warned.
